Scale Factor
2.50
Multiplier applied to every ingredient (target ÷ base).
Scaled Ingredient Amounts
5 cups flour 3.75 tbsp sugar 2.5 tsp salt 7.5 eggs 625 g butter
The scaled ingredient list at the new yield.
What this means
Only the leading number of each line is scaled; any unit or note (like “cups flour”) is kept exactly as you typed it.
Resize a recipe from its original serving count to any new count. Every number in your ingredient list is multiplied by the scale factor (target ÷ base servings).
Formula
scale factor = target servings ÷ base servings | amount = original × factor

Lines without a leading number are copied through unchanged.
Do my unit names need to stay the same?
Yes — only the amount is scaled, so keep consistent units on each line.
