Boyle'sLawCalculator

Calculate the relationship between pressure and volume of a gas at constant temperature.

Boyle's Law

P₁V₁ = P₂V₂

At constant temperature, pressure and volume are inversely related.

Understanding Boyle's Law

Boyle's Law states that for a fixed amount of gas at constant temperature, the pressure of a gas is inversely proportional to its volume. This means that when you compress a gas, its pressure increases, and when you allow it to expand, the pressure decreases.

Formula

P₁V₁ = P₂V₂

Pressure₁ × Volume₁ = Pressure₂ × Volume₂
