Charles'sLawCalculator

Calculate the relationship between volume and temperature of a gas at constant pressure.

Charles's Law

V₁/T₁ = V₂/T₂

At constant pressure, volume and temperature are directly related.

Understanding Charles's Law

Charles's Law states that for a fixed amount of gas at constant pressure, the volume of a gas is directly proportional to its absolute temperature. This explains why hot air rises and balloons expand when heated.

Formula

V₁/T₁ = V₂/T₂

Volume₁ / Temperature₁ = Volume₂ / Temperature₂
